I applaud Russia´s official position when they say that they see the ruling as “anti-Russian”! But is it Maskirovka?
“The outside world critical of Judgement
to the current seven-year jail
sentence against former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has not
been coming in late.
EU:s foreign chief Catherine Ashton writes in a
statement that the EU is ”deeply disappointed” with the
verdict, and that Ukraine has driven politically motivated lawsuits against the opposition.
According to Foreign Minister Carl
Bildt, the sentence is totally unacceptable, and he thinks that it is politically motivated and that it will beget
consequences for Ukraine’s relations
with the EU.
Russian foreign ministry sees the ruling as
Tymoshenko is convicted of abuse of power, when she enforced a ten-year gas
contract with Russia.
Ukraine’s current administration,
consider the ten-year gas deal with Russia too expensive.” Quote; Ekot
